Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Bumbleweb: the websites we host for you, your account at my.bumbleweb.com, and the editor. By starting a trial or a subscription you agree to them.

The service

We host a website for your business, built from one of our templates, and give you an editor to change it. We keep the site online, secure, up to date and backed up nightly.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and sign up on behalf of a business with a billing address in the United States. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.

Free trial and billing

Each new site comes with a 14-day free trial. To keep a site online after its trial, add a card; you're charged when the trial ends, then every month or year, in advance, until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and sales tax is added where it applies. If a payment fails we retry it for about a week; if it still fails, the subscription ends and the site is paused.

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from your account. Your site stays online until the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't give refunds for partial periods. When a site is closed we keep its content for 30 days, so it can be reopened, and then delete it and its backups for good.

Your content

You own everything you put on your site. You give us permission to store, copy and display it only to run the service. You're responsible for having the rights to what you publish, including photos and text.

Acceptable use

Don't use Bumbleweb for anything illegal, deceptive or harmful: no malware, phishing, spam, content that infringes others' rights, or attempts to break or overload our systems. We may pause or close a site that does, and will tell you why.

Availability

We work hard to keep every site online, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable, for example during maintenance or problems outside our control.

Liability

Bumbleweb is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you before it takes effect.
